Produced in carbon steel SAE 1010 to 1020, drop-forged hot dip galvanized steel according to ASTM A-153. Tapped to fit hot-dip galvanized bolts made to ANSI specifications.
Most commonly used for deadending, back-guying, and attaching pole head guys on the threaded ends of crossarm bolts. Also used for deadending with suspension and strain insulators or thimble clevises.
Standard eyenuts are used for hanging suspension type insulators or other hardware from the cross arm.
Standard long eye type is also used as an attaching unit on the cross arm for hanging suspension insulator strings when the upper unit is equipped with a clevis type or hook type cap.
